Has anyone haduck decoding any pager messages in Tasmania?

I used to do it years ago but have not recently. Are pagers still used much?

yeah mate, used by all tas fire ambulance and ses. they use mostly alpha elegant

Would you know what freq they use?

I can only find on the acma site 148.7125 which is apparently a paging sytem

I should add, i have no luck just using a cable to my pc so im waiting for a dongle to arrive.

Going of the tones i can hear it appears its pocsag512 they are using

Yes 148.7125MHz is the frequency. Have towers everywhere.
