What is the BEST antenna you can suggest for :
1 : A base install --
2 : A mobile install --
3 : A Handheld --

I guess its the same as asking which is the best radio or best camera, it all comes down to personal preference and circumstances, location, freq you want to listen to

: 2 for Mobile................30 foot whip with spring base
: 3 for Handheld.............Telescopic
Are the antenna for your hobby? Are you a scanner/receiver user or an active HAM or CB operator and require to transmit as well as receive? Antenna for receive only is a lot different to a receive/transmit antenna.

Good reply, but its not a rule or reality question, just wondering people's preference's and wondering how many differnet idea's would result.
