NEW SCANNER ARRIVED!

Post by AIRMAN »

Finally decided to get the Icom IC-RX7.

First impressions indicate that it scans/searches a hell of a lot faster than my previous Icom IC-R5.

Learning curve of this model requires much reference to the operators instruction book especially memory programming.

Love the screen and matrix print. Audio is crisp. Still requires a stereo/mono adaptor for earphone listening. What's up Icom!

Is it a 2.5mm hole instead of a 3.5 ? im interested to see if it decodes pagers well as I was told that icom's arn't the best for that sort of thing.

The ICOM IC-RX7 has an external speaker/earphone connection....

3 conductor 3.5mm (d) 1/8" 8 Ohms ( Specifications, page 91 of it's op book)

I connected my iPod earbuds, but sound only came out of one side so I had to use my stereo/mono plug. :(

I think you'll find its 3.5mm. At least it was on my R5.
