"View first unread post" button

Noticed that the "View first unread post" button only works on a couple of topics.
A lot of them go straight to the first post.

A lot of them go straight to the first post.

Would really like to have this fixed.

As I said in original post, if I click on the "View first unread post" button, it takes me straight to the first message in the thread, instead of going to the first unread message, which may be 20 or 30 messages from the start.

Where is the button? I can't seem to find it.

The orange icon just before "Unmarked" in the attached image.

When you mouseover it says "View first unread post". It only appears when there are new posts in a topic.

It does work on a couple of the topics, but not on most of them.

Try the arrow on the right hand side.

Next to the name of the person who made the last post.

Clicking on that icon (see attached image) only allows you to 'View the latest post" by the person named.

If there were say 10 new (unread) posts in that Topic, and you clicked on that icon, you would be taken to the last (10th) unread post, and therefore possibly miss out seeing the other 9 unread posts.

Clicking on the orange icon is supposed to take you to the first unread post.
