Gympie Police

Post by Vkfour »

It would appear that the Gympie Police have moved to the new 10 MHz allocation frequencies. After a quiet time, I decided to try the new frequencies and found them. The main CBD frequency from the fire station in Bligh Street is now on 469.600 and the frequency from Mothar Mountain is on 469.900. I haven't heard anything on their other frequencies yet, but will let you all know if, and when something happens. I am trying to talk my wife, a solicitor, into committing some sort of civil disturbance in the area so I can check what other frequencies are working, but she won't. Maybe a crowd funding for her bail?! Maybe not as I could be the subject of the civil disturbance! Make that would!!!

Obviously, this will roll out to other current analogue areas so, so check your ACMA database.

Incidentally, QAS have gone from Gympie and whilst new QFES frequencies are in the ACMA databasse, they are still using 465.150 in town for now, but we can now only hear local stuff, not the whole Sunshine Coast area as before.

PS, have just heard the Mount Corella frequency on 469.700.

Is there any updates as to any of the other frequencies becoming active yet? I'm curious as to how they have numbered them as well into a Band plan in there Radios. I'm just not quite sure it will match the 198 Ch HGS/HSN Band plan Numbering for the new channel allocations. Is anyone aware of this?

Cheers

Have they switched over to the GWN ?, You may also get Firecom from Black Mountain Ch 19 466.950 and this seems to have all the Sunny Coast

I was listening to Gympie police yesterday on 469.675. I suspect from Black Mtn as signal strength was very good in the Noosa area. Firecom is still active on 466.925 (ch 19) and others in the area. Black mtn seems to be the most southerly point for listenable uhf. Mind you the ambo's are gone-except for 412.650 from maleny. This freq covers Maryborough, Wide Bay, and Burnett area's etc.
cheers

Any ideas on what the new frequency for QFES is currently, I haven’t been able to tune into them for quite some time

Depending upon where you are, these frequencies will work. There are a few others as well. 469.41250 is the frequency for the main Gympie area and is located at the fire station.
469.4125, 469.5625, 469.7875, 469.975, 469.5125
