Best thing since the ACMA database
A friend told me about this: http://krump.spench.net/RFMap/#pos=-28. ... 042&zoom=4
Very useful tool, just what is needed.
Just zoom in to the desired location and click on the site to get the details.

Re: Best thing since the ACMA database
Hi folks,
Thank you for checking out my site and posting these nice comments! I'm still working on it (most recently the recent/popular/random site/filter suggestions). If you have any specific comments/suggestions/bug-reports/etc, then please don't hesitate to describe them here so I can attend to any outstanding issues. Also, if you have found cool areas/filters, then don't forget you can copy&paste the URL (e.g. here) too!
PS: If you'd like to follow development progress, see Oz-wide density/coverage maps, etc, check out the blog (click on the top-left 'spench.net' logo in RFMap, or subscribe to the RSS feed).

Great site. My perception is it runs faster (by quite a margin) using Safari as the browser. Alex

Re: Best thing since the ACMA database
Might be abit of topic, but i was looking around my area and i noticed 2 fixed speed cameras came up with a frequency..
Description: Traffic Camera Site, Nicklin Way, WARANA
Address: QLD 4575
Position: -26.7143076714223, 153.12969384451
Freq: 24125000000
Em Des: 21K2P0N
Client: Queensland Police Service
Can anyone help me with why it would have its own frequency and if i was to tune into it what would happen? (dont think i can on my CB, but hypothetically)

It is a Radio Transmitter. That is how RADARs work.
Technically speaking, even LIDARs have a Frequency.
What are you going to tune it on. That is 24.125 GHz (24,125 MHz).and if i was to tune into it what would happen?

Re: Best thing since the ACMA database
It loads, just ridiculously slowly.
My understanding is a little while back the site owner had to move his servers to the states, and since then it's been horrid.

Re: Best thing since the ACMA database
Last time I was able to access this site, I found it to be horrendously out of date in some areas. In Gympie, they had sites that hadn't existed for years and have had houses built on them for some time. It was also showing VHF frequencies when the users has been on UHF for years.

Re: Best thing since the ACMA database
thought he stopped updating it as other major uses started using it all the time. That was about 2 years ago.
