Newbies

I have been watching this forum, and others, for a while now, and every so often, someone will come up with a stupid question. Stupid to us old hands, (I've had a ham licence for approaching 40 years, and illegal before that), but not to them because they don't know.

Rather than rubbishing them and putting them down, answer the question in a civil way, otherwise they will bolt, never to be seen again, and we need new people all the time.

Remember, once you were a newbie too, and if you were lucky, like me, you had a mentor or mentors, but not everyne does. So please, be nice.
