Would a run of 12 metres of rg 213 be okay or would there be too much loss

James your adds are getting a bit boring. If you knew what you were talking about you would know that RG213 is 50 ohm............not suitable for television.

It will be perfectly fine for both TX and RX use I used to run an equal length on 27Mhz up a mast of almost similar elevation, you can see the attenuation (and power handling) characteristics of various cables including RG213 at the link below, usage frequency has as much bearing on loss as length itself...
