DSE96T H/H Trunking baudrate

Post by rredbeak »

Ok my 96T can be programmed for either 3600 or 9600 Baud.

Ive put 2 lots of Mt Cootha Freqs in [in seperate program bands],set on to 3600 and the other 9600. Put the IDs in as per RR and This Forum & cant hear anything on either and the exact same freqs both for 183A.BUT the Scanner locks on the 183A CC and shows 99% signal. But no voice on any while scanning or manually tuning.Occasionally a ID no will pop up and i lock it in the scanner but im thinking its data or so.I know the 183A CC rotates.

Heard nothing so i changed the 3600 to splinter [9600 cant get splinter],still nothing.

Then we went to the airport and the Quantas 400MHz trunking is beautifull. actually could hear it well from mt cootha.
But,heard nothing from Pinkenba or Bulwer on 800Mhz. It was a working day but might have been off work over the xmas break.

From the airport the 183A locks on with 99% signal but again no audio.

Its programmed exactly as per the manual.
Im doing something wrong tho,,any suggestions please ?

Cheers Rod

Motorola SmartNet does NOT use 9600. It is only for APCO P25.

There are NO Splinter systems in Australia.

When monitoring new systems (New to You) it is best not to have any IDs programmed in.

Yes the book said 9600 was for APCO P25 but when im desperate ill try anything LOL

The pinkenba and bulwer were both locked onto with their respectine site Ids etc.

Ok,ill remove all TGIDS and play again.

Sounds silly but im prepared to try anything even splinter ,P25,you name it ,hoping to click it.

TY Comnit i know where to start.

Cheers Rod.

Bit of a confusing post there.

Uniden manufactured the U/BCD396T hand-held scanner.

GRE manufactured a handheld scanner which was sold in Australia, by Dick Smith Electronics, as the DTS-96.

So which one are you talking about.

OK,
On the radio itself it only says DSE Trunking Digital. But nothing more

The Handbook says DTS 96 Digital.

I have no idea where i got the "T" from
