468.300

Post by Daniel »

Anyone having troubles with 468.300 being scratchy...even when your within range of the repeater. This repeater covers the whole of Redcliffe area including Rothwell, Woody Point, Clontarf and Margate. Most of these areas it is really scratchy and unreadable. Its been like this for quite a while.

Are the links to it scratchy aswell ? Have you tried different frequencies for it ? might just be a case of trial and error or did it use to be all good ?

468.275 works fine, Narangba repeater is working fine, Caboolture working fine. Its just 468.300. Its obviously some unplanned downtime. This frequency was an excelent frequency. Now officers are putting there lives at risk when they go into areas that are total blackspots which used to have excelent coverage.

468.5625 (Channel 59) is located at Caboolture

469.2125 (Channel 111) Narangba which is what Deception Bay usually uses

And yeah both these channels works really good compared to 468.300 but you can tell when your listening to those channels that the repeater isnt local because it is still fairly scratchy. But its better than nothing...

Yeah mate just came back online late this morning. It was some unplanned downtime...I think I was told it was about a month that the repeater has been down for!

Cheers,
