How long you have been into Scanning/Radio Equipment? Scanning for a bit over a year now, but have been around UHF radio and stuff for quite a few years but i didnt know much about it till i started scanning.
Name / Location ? James from Rochedale (websites home suburb ) QLD
Your first piece of equipment: Oh gosh, probably the first bit of real equipment was a couple of those three channel UHF communicators as a kid, but since scanning my main scanning radio has been a NEE NE768 UHF radio.
What Equipment do you have ? NEE NE 768 UHF, GME TX6000 (and a broken one as well), GME TX4000 (stuffed TX), Simoco 8010 VHF, Phillips FM92 UHF. On the roof i got a 9dB UHF antenna (Rochedalescans ) a 4.5dB UHF Whip and a VHF lo band? antenna.
A piece of equipment you would like to get: Simoco 9030 as well as Shane but $$$ gee or maybe an Icom IC400 or other similar UHF Commercial radio. Im also pretty keen on the old sort of commercial gear, and im always on the lookout for good priced stuff .
Any other comments or questions: Thanks to everybody on here for all their help in the last year or so in teaching me and helping me learn about radio scanning and emergency services!!!
