I have found a lot of DMR frequencies don't lie on a 'rounded' number, it could be 453.94875 for example. I will have a try at searching for the listing when I get home :)

This an Uplink Frequency associated with 463.450 MHz which is registered with the QAS.

Was the Data you heard DMR or maybe Data?

I was thinking QAS MDT, but I'm pretty sure they operate around the 415-416 MHz, can someone confirm?

Maybe you had some strong bleeding from a Close TX Site or something....

Just my opinion.. :)

Cheers

QAS voice comms are around 415 -416 MHz. 463.50 is a QAS frequency too. Probably MDT.

Granted it is a QAS frequency but for regional Queensland, I have heard the same frequency on DMR on a negative offset and never went back to have a listen and also forgot to write it down, I believe it to be a hotel

is it atmospheric ducting (like when a local seabreeze has set in) causing signals from Regional Qld to appear in metropolitan Brisbane? There are a couple of TETRA users as well on this input

Yes, I did note that this frequency didn't appear to be allocated to Brisneyland, so it could well be. It could also be from a close by frequency, an IF image or the mixing together of other frequencies.

Also noticed strong close call captures on the Gold Coast in the uhf range in the last few days . Regretfully did not write them down . Mostly in the southport CBD ,

410-50mhz range .

I'm still hearing this as of 4/4/15. I work in Brisbane city and have been hearing it since my original post.

Update - found some time on my 30 minute lunch break and can confirm voice on this frequency. Sounded like gardeners, botanical gardens maybe?
