Re: Contact Communications
http://www.smartcompany.com.au/retail/2 ... -sale.htmlA leading online retailer of radio and communications gear has been placed on the block after collapsing in early January.
Contact Communications, which bills itself as Australia's top-ranked site for radio communications products, is based in the South Australian town of Gawler, which it also operates a bricks-and-mortar retail store.
The company was placed into administration on January 6, according to documents lodged with the Australian Securities and Investment Commission.
The administrator, Anthony Matthews, has advertised the business for sale in major newspapers this morning.
Expressions of interest are due by January 29. Matthews is currently on leave and a spokesperson was not available for comment prior to publication.
Contact Communications was established in 1989, focussing on UHF and CB communications gear. In 2009, the company expanded into four-wheel-drive products, selling products from the Razorback 4 x 4 range.
The company also operated an eBay store, although this has now been removed from the eBay Australia site.
