What Do You Find The Most Interesting To Listen To

Post by Stretch »

Just wondering what everyone thinks the most exciting/interesting to listen to is.

MY opinion, QFRS is always exciting events but a lot of down time, QPS a lot of activity generally nothing exciting, QAS a lot of activity, usually exciting.

I seem remember posting a comment like this last night. I generally listen to anything if I can tune into it it's my scanner apart from uhf cb, just to much rubbish on there for me.

I voted QFRS QAS and Airband.

I monitor Airband most of the time as that gives me the most satisfaction.

QPS didn't get my vote. Here in TWB VKG is anything but exciting. Most of the time they deal with domestics and violence in the wrong end of the city. This just gets dead boring. Most do not appear to have any training in standardized radio procedure. Holding the mike too far away, cutting off the talk button before finishing speaking are commonplace. One or two of the 'Doris' sound like they were former K Mart spruikers.

As far as standard operational radio procedure goes, QFRS is streets ahead on any other emergency services up here.

The Ambos are OK as well.
