A few months ago while checking ACMA website to find if NSW GRN rollout was coming my way I found 3 sites that have a single frequency of UHF, VHF mid and VHF bands licenced with the label NSW GRN.
The sites are:
Ivanhoe http://web.acma.gov.au/pls/radcom/site_ ... ID=9012245
Goolgowi http://web.acma.gov.au/pls/radcom/site_ ... ID=9012673
Hay http://web.acma.gov.au/pls/radcom/site_ ... E_ID=35103
Anyone that lives near those areas able to go check what they are being used for if anything?

Without looking too much into it, the VHF frequencies would not be trunked GRN frequencies. They are likely licences to the NSW Telco authority, who has carriage of many governement radio licences.

Furthermore they are simplex, you cannot trunk simplex. The Telco Authority administers pretty much all the radio assignments for the NSW Govt including the GRN. Don't read too much into things simply because the entry is listed as (GRN). Mistakes are made and ACMA is one of the best at making mistakes at data entry level.tyrone85 wrote:A few months ago while checking ACMA website to find if NSW GRN rollout was coming my way I found 3 sites that have a single frequency of UHF, VHF mid and VHF bands licenced with the label NSW GRN.

Re: NSW P25 GRN VHF Testing?
Gathered that GRN was a typo since a site nearby is also marked as GRN but its in fact NSWRS and that a single frequency wasn't enough for a trunking network.
Still interested in finding out what those frequencies are being used for but not interested enough to drive there myself.
Cheers.
