Gold coast frequencies?

Post by leighbus »

I'm staying down the coast for a few nights in a couple of weeks time in a high rise apartment in surfers. I'm disappointed to read that all the emergency services have switched over to the GWN down there, I used to love listening to the scanner and looking down on all the action as it unfolded beneath me from my balcony. After having a bit of a look through the forums I can't seem to find a whole lot of frequencies for down there, I found a couple for Gold Coast taxis and surf side buses that I will give a try and will prob have a search through the acma database while I'm down there to try find a few of the neighbouring hotels. Does anybody know of anything else interesting I could try listening to while I'm down there?

GC Ambo's are still patched into the old network. 413.200MHz.
GCCC life guards, SLSC are all digital.

You can try and scan 460 to 512 and you will get some rental freq come up. some of the high-rise use CB for in house coms as well.

Scan and you will find something to listen to eventually.
