Ballarat Police Frequency

Post by chainz »

Hey guys. I am in Ballarat in the city and pickup the police on 163.6750 or 163.6125. I'm using the UBCD396XT and it sounds like I am getting interference. Wondering if anyone knows the frequency that this live feed would be using as it's crystal clear. Any other ballarat frequencys would be appreciated.

The police use a network of cross-connected repeaters. I'm not sure which repeater is the closest to Ballarat as they don't publish their repeater locations like the CFA do but these are the M Region District 2 channels and frequencies which I have extracted from my Simoco. I can hear Ballarat very clearly on C139 but given the fact that I am near in St Arnaud you will probably have better luck on a different channels.

The channels are...

Channel - Frequency - CTCSS
M2 C136 - 163.63750MHz - 241.8
M2 C137 - 163.85000MHz - 241.8
M2 C138 - 163.96250MHz - 241.8
M2 C139 - 163.97500MHz - 241.8
M2 C140 - 164.02500MHz - 241.8
M2 C141 - 164.03750MHz - 241.8
