Been listening for a few hours on my scanner when I got home around 5ish. From 5 to 7 it was the standard routine of 'unit unreadable, go again' and now the audio quality from hearing the crews go through the usual routine stuff is way better than it was listening in previously (and I know it's not due to the scanner).
Not sure what's caused all this but beats hearing unreadable transmissions half the time and having to hear from VKR 'go again' to that unit.
I'm wondering if the crews got tired of 'go again' and managed to persuade the repeater tech to crank up the watts just a little more in order to be readable.
Who knows.
Also, just heard at Woodridge rail station you can use public phones as urinals and either get a ticket or a free ride in a divisional van

Ah ok that channel is the springwood repeater, I've always found it quiet clear in my car but would certainly help the crews portable radios of it got a boost
