The Radio Shack PRO-96, and the DSE DTS-96, although similar, and from the same manufacturer (GRE), are NOT the same machine, and as far as I know ARC96 is the only software that will work on both. So you might need to be a bit more specific as to which scanner you want the software for.

DSE96 is what I do have... I realise they are different...so I was hoping someone has found somthing that works.

using both ARC996 and Proscan both registered.

oh might have stuffed up there, thought you were talking about the UBCD996T scanner.
but in a shortern format = 96.

I brought a programming cable from Talkback Systems and got it the other day in the post. Tried Arc96 software on the dts96 scanner and it downloaded the info from the scanner.
