Because you were so close to the truck you would have been picking up their transmit frequency and as comint has said the other frequency is for recieve (the output of the repeater) which is the frequency you would be wanting to listen to

Re: 457.425
I have yet to hear anything on CC with my UBCT9.
Q. Does one have to be scanning a specific band or will it activate with the scanner working on any other band?

For the T8/T9 I'm pretty sure (well from all my experiences) you just hit the button and it will pick up anything (bar trunking)AIRMAN wrote:I have yet to hear anything on CC with my UBCT9.

You can turn particular bands on/off in Close Call mode.AIRMAN wrote:I have yet to hear anything on CC with my UBCT9.

Re: 457.425
Thanks guys, that answers my question, I thought i had the firecom freq in my scanner and hit scan whilst the truck was there hoping to pickup the rx freq but i obviously dont have the correct one.
im trying to get a list of freqs for QAS and QFRS for my area as I live on the main road and hear both go past often. Wouldnt mind to know whats happening in the area
