Hi all, Does anyone own one of these scanners ? I am wondering if they are as good as they look/ specifications say.
This guy is selling it for 109$ and for that price you can't go wrong http://cgi.ebay.com.au/UNIDEN-UBC340CRS ... 7C294%3A50

Hi Shane,
Here is a review if you want to have a look: http://www.scanningtasmania.org/ubc340crs.html
That seller is prestige communications, I got a headset off them and I was surprised to see a receipt from prestige communications.
I don't own one but I do know a bloke who has one, he just uses it as a dedicated pager decoding radio setup with PDW.

Re: UBC340CRS
I had read that yeah, seems like it would probably be good for that.

If your hobby includes listening to VHF Airband frequencies, this may not be your scanner.

Re: UBC340CRS
I have a much older version of this. The UBC248CLT. Was the first scanner I ever had. I bought it at my local Dick Smiths through a private deal, they didn't have it displayed, and said they would give it to me for $40. So I took it.
I must say, it works better than my T8 in some cases.
