RAAF freqs (encrypted?)

Hey all,
I have alot of the Richmond RAAF frequencies, but dont seem to hear much. Whenever a C27 or C17 comes into sydney I sometimes hear them on Sydney Clearance (135.100), then I lose them.
Are the RAAF encrypted or am I just out of range? Im in the Wetherill Park area.

I can hear them around Amberley, I am only about 25km away. They probably would have the means to use encryption but I hear them on the AM frequencies.

Apart from aircraft movements, the ground frequencies are encrypted P25. Move on nothing to see here...
