Thinking of going to Yamba NSW soon, however it seems the emergency services are all p25 encryp from what I've been reading.. Would this be correct and would there be anything else interesting to listen to?
Cheers

The police are encrypted but everything else is in the clear.

Re: Yamba NSW
Police are running Encrypted P25 in the Police Uhf band - all other links have been switched off. Just lock them out
Ambos are now being heard (still in analog) in the Government Band between 467.5000 and 470.0000mhz at various sites - scan for the strongest site
Firies are still being heard on 419mhz in analog elsewhere down the coast - scan between 415-420mhz
Surf life saving should be heard on 473.525 but maybe DMR digital ( coffs area reported to be switching to DMR this season)
Volunteer Marine Rescue use 161.6500 as well as 156.4500, 156.5000 and 156.5500 (scan 156mhz)
