Travelling overseas

Post by Britedj »

I'm flying into USA from Australia and was wondering how if I would have any trouble getting my scanner thru customs or should I leave it at home?

No problems taking a scanner into the US. Enjoy.

Just check the scanner power.. The 396 is 6Volt (from memory), so buy a six volt charger when there...
Just take out the batteries before you fly.

Just pack it in your flight luggage. Keep it discrete as USA has the cell phone blocked out in the 800 /900 MHz area. Your scanner would have it as open.
