G'day all,Bluey here,

Obviously a new member. Wrong side of 60 now, come from Moree but lived in Melbourne for the past 42 years. (whatever went wrong???) :?

Two years in the Army truck driving with 12 months in Vietnam in 69/70.
In construction ever since operating high rise cranes here as well as 8 years in Bass strait on the oil rigs operating the big rig cranes out there.

Retired now and continuing on with the caravan touring all over Oz with the cook.

Got to admit I joined this forum because Ive got a problem(doctor cant fix this one)

Just had a new ICOM IC440N fitted to the new Jeep. (No jokes on that one please!!)

I know there will be a separate thread for problems but here goes.

Initial startup OK. (I didnt read the manual as most blokes dont). Transmit/receive OK.
Went fiddling with the knobs.

Now cant receive. (Now read the manual)
Tried all the remedies except the system reset. (too scared to)

Cant work out what Ive done to mute the reception.

Any clues please. Thanks for any heads ups.

PS Had CB/UHF's for years so reasonably useful with them

Nice to meet you blokes.

Bluey :D
