Taxi's etc

Hi everyone.
I was wondering how I go about finding the freq's for the taxi companies and courier companies, and any other company freq's in Adelaide, and then putting them into my 396XT?
I found some freq's on the ACMA database (i think - 491.0500,413.6500,450.7438 etc) But when I enter them into my scanner via freescan, it just has static.
Any tips on how I can get this working?

Have a look at my post to you re the fire frequencies. These frequencies here seem good but you shouldn't be getting static. Have you turned the squelch so that you don't hear any white noise at all?

I assume these freq's should be analog, so make sure freescan is has set each one to NFM, I think I noticed one day it defaults to something else like WFM.

The 413 and 450 frequencies are low power (1 Watt) Point-to-Point links, so unless you are in their path you won't hear much.

To be honest, I didn't look at the power outputs etc, but as Comint says, unless you are close, and inline with their directional antennas, you won't hear anything, including static.
