Transit of Venus - DIY view

Today I thought I would have a go at watching Venus transit the sun, using a cheap and safe technique.
I set up my binoculars on a tripod and focused the image of the sun on to a white piece of cardboard.
The results are quite spectacular! I simply photographed the cardboard 'screen' with my SLR camera.
One pic shows Venus right on the edge of the sun before it vanished. You will also notice some sunspots, too.
There IS more to life than radios
