It is planned to get photos up i just have to have a camera handy when the trucks are nearby. if you look at the open day photos you can see a full line up of the appliances

we cover nearly 800 sqare kilometers encompasing the areas of cambooya, wyreema, greenmount, felton, hodgsonvale, preston, top camp, welcamp, westbrook and ramsay to name a few. The main towns are cambooya, wyreema, greenmount, hodsonvale/topcamp, preston. we have our trucks spread across the area we cover to ensure a spedy response to all incidents and we can norlally have a truck respond to an incident within 5 minutes and the second and third out within 2 minutes after that. we have about 50 members within the brigade

haha thats ok it means we cover an area so vast that it covers practically every aspect of rural firefighting so vilage we have 8 that count as vilage we have a little izone and little of the grassland from farms in the area so it makes them classify you as a special service because they cant put you in just one area if you do it all on a pretty large scale. we also used to have ba but that has since been removed from us at the direction of the comisioner

That upsets me, it upsets a lot of us in urban as-well that rurals no longer have BA. Greenbank does still I do believe but that's because they are auxiliary as-well. We are also in an izone with a rural brigade who we work closely with (They borrow our yankee a lot) and technically they should have BA and structure capabilities and frankly we're like the only state who has limited rurals to just bushes and wild-land. Which in my opinion is wrong but hey, what can you do unless you become commissioner of QFRS!

How far are you from a Urban station/appliance?

yeah thats right especially after we forkek out so much money of the community to maintain it but ah well it will take fatalities to get something done about it again.
depends on where you are trying to get too in our area if they are coming to cambooya itself from toowoomba which is where our main station is about 15 to 25 minutes depending on how fast they go but some of our area takes alot longer because of the size of it but in the other direction we get auxilaries out of clifton so it shoultnt be to bad if sopemthing does go down but if they require back up it leaves towoomba without its full compliment of trucks and if multiple incidents are happenning etc the list gets very long but i think they have been looking at the fact that i hasnt been used very much so we wont bother ah well time will tell
ill try and get a picture of the size of our area
