Just to put this to bed, I've attached a photo (not mine) of the type 2 pumper in question. Also that is what is on OMS.dmint3 wrote:you will find fleet 866 is the old Alpha and is now there Bravo

Yankees are i zones but in different regions they are also called echos.
It is a rescue pumper but they wanted to designate it as a echo.

I wouldn't call it a holiday, closer to mud wrestling !Stretch wrote:Presently just the alpha. The echo is sent to Bundaberg for a holiday

I was tasked with them up there, nice bunch of guys and not a bad truck other that the left hand case1 is now arm-strong (manual) recovery.

Re: QFRS - Station 66 (Beaudesert) South East Region (Region
Sorry you are right its call sign is 666E
i was up there today to have a look, its callsign is 666E but the lieutenant told me they use it as if its a barvo as it has RTC,BA and HazMat gear . He said it is 4WD but it ways about 14 tons so they don't use it as an echo.
i don't know why it is classed as an echo but will try and find out

Re: QFRS - Station 66 (Beaudesert) South East Region (Region
Echos are echos as they are a 4x4 pump capible of supporting at a structural fire. SE region removed the izone canters from this callsign as the pump is for bushfire work only (limited capacity)
