My Setup

Hey guys I'm a newbie to this site, I was referred by a bloke who noticed i had my radio for sale on another forum, (By the way cheers for that mate this forum is awesome!)

okay now to start the list.

Radios.
1: A little Uniden half watt handheld, Not sure on the model number as it is packed away.
2: Uniden Washington 27MHZ 40channel.
3: Peirce Simpson ST-901 SSB
4: Cobra 148GTL on 26MHZ.
5: Puxing PX-777 UHF


Antenna.

1: External Coil station master for 27MHZ sets. <--- More to come.

Hey guys this is more update, my Uniden washington is still currently in NZ but im in the process of bringing it back to Aus when ihave the money. I will update as i get more gear and pics...

Welcome to the forums Rob, Great setup!! Are you still selling that radio or is it packed up ?

Where abouts you moving to ? im from Nelson.

Hey Shane, the radio is in its own box but not packed into a bigger box, I am looking at keeping the radio now. After you showing me this website it has opened my eyes a little wider within the communication area. So i shall keep her.

I will be living Near Otorohanga, It's about 2.5hours south of Auckland in the Nth Island.

How do you find the Icom 208H ? I was looking at getting this two way is it any good ? I beleive you have to do something to the radio to unlock the uhf, is it true?

Yeah mate its a great radio, has a very wide band receive, and heaps of programmable channels, And yes you do need to do a mod to to transmit on cb UHF. I can possibly link you to the page where it shows you exactly what you need to do, I have a print out of the document aswell, I can possibly scan it and link it to this page or another page as a Mod.

Yeah, you can actually buy the U.S version from sellers which has the mod automatically installed. I believe Prestige sells this U.S version.

U.S version also has weather channels and will also pickup cellphones in the gsm range i think.

Will get a photo of some of the other gear today, I dont have everything hear in NZ as yet but the kenwood is here but not setup, but i'll grab a few more pics today for you guys.
