Just to confirm ALL of the current sunshine coast channels that are in use at the moment:

Buddina 468.3500 42
Maroochydore 468.4250 48
Maleny 468.4500 50
Coolum 468.5500 58
Noosa 468.7000 70
Noosa Heads 468.7625 75
Caloundra 468.9125 87
Conondale 469.1000 102
Cooroy 469.1750 108

There is no enquiry channel for the sunshine coast.

There are three channels which that can be linked or run on their own for operations on the coast. These three sites provide pretty good vehicle coverage of the coast. They are usually pretty quiet though.

Maroochydore 469.3750 124
Coolum 468.8875 85
Cooroy 468.9250 88

There is also another frequency up there now dont know it, but it covers Redcliffe/Caboolture districts as you know the Redcliffe comms moved up there into the brand new comms centre.

There should also be some new linking frequencies around the place which are clearer in some areas usually around 410-414Mhz

I found this freq. in Maroochydore last week. 468.41875
It seems to be low power as I couldn't receive it at Mountain Creek (where I live only 4k's away).

VKR and all mobiles could be heard. It was exactly the same transmissions as 468.350 and 468.450.

i think you will find that the frequency is 468.425. It is located at VKR Maroochydore on the tower on-site itself.

QPS CH 48 468.425 Maroochydore CBD (Mainly used by Policebeat Sunshine Plaza) & any foot patrols hand portable in that area. Sometimes CH 42 @ PT. Cartwright may not be strong enough.

468.425 will bleed through a few khz each side as with any UHF freq.

cheers

Yes, you're spot-on.
When I first found this frequency, my Uniden UBC73XLT was on close-call mode.
The transmissions were just as clear and audible on this fequency as they were on 468.425, which made me think I had found a 'new' one. The two frequencies are only 6.25kHZ apart.
It seems the Uniden is a little sloppy in its selectivity!

I have just noticed in the last 2 days VKR sunshine coast on 468.350 has either lost power or something is wrong with my scanner.

I used to be able to pick them up on that channel but now i had to change it to the landsbrough repeater....

Im in mountain creek and it used to come through clear as, anyone else finding that strange or know why it would have changed.

Also in my van i have a Uh 15ssx i think something along them lines and it only comes up half power now and used to be strong.

Any ideas?

changed repeater location?
lower power repeater output due to ghosting of another QPS repeater?

Yeah, I just noticed yesterday 468.350 was off-air too.
Hopefully it will only be a temporary problem.

Anyone know what callsign the Pomona crew work on? Heard it a few days ago but missed it. Plus, does anyone know whether the Pomona station is attached to the Gympie district or Sunshine Coast?

Pomona is in the Sunshine coast division.

Can't quite recall if they are 490 or 495 (cooroy / pomona), each other will often cover the others area if one is not working.

Sounds about right. Thanks for that :)

Who's 480 then?

Guys,

SC495 is Pomona and SC480/481 is Cooroy. I don't have a SC490 but if there was one it would probably be a Noosa patrol as SC290 is definitely Noosa based.

Cheers.

Grunter1.
