I dont know anything about these radios but try these links:

I also read on a forum that luckily for the IC-41s and IC-40s there are alot of freeware programs to clone and program so hopefully something in those links will be able to help you.

Have you bothered telling the author of the program, that it "buggered up a radio".
He can't fix a problem with his program, if he doesn't know about it.
