Hi All,
I am trying to scan MFESB channels. I am located in Berwick in Melbourne SE suburbs. I am using both a Uniden UBCD436PT and a Uniden BCD536HP scanner and I cannot hear any MFESB MMR channels.
I have purchased programmed SD cards of ebay etc and still cannot hear them. I have tried 'fiddling' with the sites to block ones that are near me but still cannot hear anything.
I am happy to send the HPD files for someone to please have a look at.
Thanks

Re: MFESB Scanning in South East Melbourne
Unlike AV and VicPol the MFB transmissions are not received on all MMR sites.
Only the MMR sites that cover the MFESB's area carry their communications. Berwick is not in MFB area.
The nearest site that you may be able to receive if you had an external antenna would possibly be Mt Dandenong. The Mt Dandenong MMR site carries MFESB communications for at least Eastern and Southern Districts (inc fireground channels). Central District also when 'channels' are patched.

Re: MFESB Scanning in South East Melbourne
Further to my above post.
Also try the main Melbourne sites (CC 420.0125) and Cheltenham (CC 421.4375).
Obviously success depends on your antenna setup.
