Vic EAS
G’day everyone, got a question about the vic EAS network. How do the various towers get their backhaul? I’ve never seen any EAS towers with microwave backhaul on them before. Is it some sort of internet/IP linking system? Also if anyone has any pictures of the transmitters/antennas that would be great. Cheers. Ben

Re: Vic EAS
Given the low data rate of a paging transmitter, a microwave link would be tremendous overkill. Usually, in paging networks leased lines (DSL) or managed internet links are used. 64 kb/s is sufficient.
