No more Toowoomba QAS
I have been monitoring the Toowoomba QAS for a day or so and there has been no traffic at all, looks like they have finally switched over to P25 digital. So no more Ambulance , I will have to listen to something else now.

Re: No more Toowoomba QAS
I can here the station calling to the units on 413.375 but can't here the units respond although I can here them respond on the Dalby frequency. Ever since Monday, late at night I can here the man at the station talking about some lights at the beach??? Or something like that and there is a response from the beach at Noosa that is coming in at full signal only on a GME TX3500 with a little 3.0db gain antenna sitting on the window sill.

Re: No more Toowoomba QAS
Sadly, Sunshine coast QAS has gone too. I can still recieve in channel 15 412.650 from maleny-but this is for Wide Bay area from areas like gympie and hervey bay and bundaberg out to kilkivan etc. The end of an era. Gympie police are still monitorable on appropriate frequencies. As is QFRS from Cooroy on 469.175.

Re: No more Toowoomba QAS
You can still listen to QAS in the 420 to 430 MHz area with a P25 scanner / radio, but you won't understand what they are saying......... Nor will you know if it QFES, QPS or QAS that is doing the Tx.

Re: No more Toowoomba QAS
Earlier this morning, i was listening to the Scanner Stream titled "Queensland SE - Queensland Ambulance Service" on 413.300 and heard QAS Toowoomba doing some radio checks on there with another operator or comms centre, i didn't quiet catch who the other caller was. Thats all but, it's very quiet now.
Cheers

Re: No more Toowoomba QAS
QAS have completely disappeared from Gympie. The occasional QFES can sometimes be heard A week or two back, I hard the North Coast comms centre asking a local rural unit to use their GWN radio, but they didn't know how. Police are still heard as my local inside source indicates that there is some sort of a boundary problem.

They are not going on to the GWN. They MAY be going to some other form of Digital in the future - think years.GME Man wrote:Any idea if the ambulance from the west are going digital soon?
