IC41w

I just got a IC41W and im trying to put put some police frequencys on it like i have my 400pro.

I have the program cable and the cs-41s program, I have added in the frequencys but all I'm hearing is static when they talk
I'm not sure if i have programmed it right can anyone give me a hand?

Firstly i would enable TX Inhibit to stop you from talking and possibly adding there PL Tone aswell just to make sure, otherwise i cant see anything wrong with it, if it doesnt work with the tone i would suggest taking it to a icom dealer who may be able to program it for you

Hello Millsy01, I agree with Brisbanescan, tick the TX inhibit box. I would also ask where you are located as those frequencies in your area maybe digital. This will sound like hash noise when they are transmitting. The CTCSS tone should be turned off for listening purposes.
