ProScan 7.3 has a virus. DO NOT DOWNLOAD or UPGRADE.

There you all go, proof ProScan 7.3 is a virus.

Stay on 7.2 or below.

The license for 7.2 is available but I cant post it here.

No talk of any virus on the official ProScan forum or the relevant section on RadioReference. With all the other users of the software out there one would think there would be others reporting the same issue, but so far nothing but praise. Any chance it could be something on your computer?

If you pc/Mac is connected to the internet , there is always the chance of a virus regardless of what antivirus you might have , I just downloaded the file and checked for malware with 3 malware/virus scanners with NO Detection of a virus .

Given the message displayed, there could be a corruption in your Kernel.
You have mentioned that you run virtual machine, there could be something gone astray there
I highly doubt that IF someone was going to insert a virus into the code, why would they then advise it? Wouldn't that be pointless?
I can't see any other users having problems with the program. Have you discussed this with who writes the program?
What virus scanner displayed that message?

I've downloaded the file and run the demo - no 'virus' or any malware found. And there is still no other mention of the 'virus' by any other users of the software. I'd suggest you recheck your computer, as it's more likely something to do with you making changes as per your earlier deleted thread.

As I said, if you want to see it for yourself then PM me and I'll send you the free license and the virus will show up on 7.3 but it doesn't show up on 7.2.

Have a look at the picture attached to the first post.
If you PM me I will send you the license and you can see for yourself the same problem.

Its for Windows not Mac as its a registry patch.

Doesn't look like a virus....
What make you think it is a virus?
What virus scanner is displaying that info?

What will be the virus is the keygen or patch that NakedFaerie is using

^ This +1. He posted a registry hack earlier (which has rightly been deleted) which is likely the cause of his 'virus'.

Its NOT a registry patch or hack. Its just a license which got revoked and I know how to get around it. I'm not allowed to say how in public here but I found how to back it up and thats all it was, a backed up license.

As I keep saying if you want just PM me, I'll give you the license then upgrade to 7.3 and see for yourself. It will do exactly like in the picture.
Thats how the owner of ProScan treats people that prove him wrong.

I got my license revoked for NO reason. I did NOTHING wrong. I still dont know why he revoked it, he said I said something which I never did. I've asked multiple times to show me where I posted anything wrong and he cant as I never did.
I think someone else said something and he revoked my license instead? I dont know but he doesn't care. All he does is abuse me so I've had enough of his crap.
If thats the way he treats people then everyone that uses his software needs to know this and to NOT pay to use his software.
He's not a nice person. He puts in malicious code into his software to kill PCs of anyone that he doesn't like. Go on, piss him off and want and see what he puts in the next version for your license.

BUT, as I've said in the past I dont really care, I have v7.2 licensed forever and he cant take that away from me. He cant stop it and anyone that wants v7.2 licensed forever can do the same as I did.

If you took the time to read our replies above a number of us have advised we have already run v7.3 and found NO issue. It seems you are the only one with the problem - on this forum and elsewhere.

You obviously have some form of grievance with the software owner, but continuing to make claims that cannot be verified by others is bordering on slanderous.

As you cannot substantiate your "virus" claims, this appears to be a problem with the software and your licence.
Since you cannot display a screenshot of your virus scanner displaying your "virus", your claims cannot be backed up.

Maybe you have done more harm than good due to the workaround. There are correct channels to go about your grievance, and a public forum is not the right place for it.
