I have head 490,491 etc I think they are coming out of slacks creek (the new station) i'm wondering wither 290-296 are the old callsigns for the old daisy hill station.

hi all ok any gen vehicle with a 5 at the end has a snr person in the car ie Sargent example 405 beenleigh with a sergent on board 401 is a gen crew no rank
760 crew are tcs floating around giving crews a hand
any vehicle with 3 in front ie 390 is a wagon not a sedan could also be a iload take as a van crew
pretty sure that 350 is a Rathdowning/ van coming onto Beenleigh comms to go to beenleigh Watchhouse so you should hear a C in front
As Grunter1 has explained above now you all now

Anything with a 7 before it is a non taskable crew

L76x will generally be TCS as they are based out of creastmead

L79x would just be an extra shift doing proactive patrols running out of springwood station
L77x out of logan central etc etc

Generally hear them when there's some sort of surge operation going

Not so sure about that I got told recently that there's no rush to change the Charlie call signs because there's too many duplicates in the numbers and they'd have to change all the calls signs across the south east region

Just be aware that the information here may apply to the Logan area and not necessarily elsewhere. Fo rinstance, on the Sunshine Coast, Gympie, Maryborough, a general car with a 5 in it doesn't have to have a sergeant, it just happens to be the next available callsign. 7's also generally apply to beat police, waterpolice seem to use whatever is going, and the doggies are a 400 number and they add "doggies".

Huh?

With the exception of IMS centres

800s are police beats
700 'should' be where dogs are
400 is GD
200 is special patrol, in the case of Brisbane water police are also here
600 will be soco and PLO and PAC car, SER have their DDO's here too
300 is van
500 will be CIB and CPIU
Currently have: Simoco SRM9000 (TU), Yaesu FT65, GME XRS370, GME TX6155 x 2, Icom IC400 Pro x 2, Icom IC41 Pro x 3

Under the original scheme (when Police first moved to UHF)
200 are 'marked sedans' ie., GD, and
400 are specialist units such as Marine, Air Wing, Mounted, etc.

Most States still support this, so I don't know why Queensland has to go off on their own. Complicates cross-border operations.

Yes, for years QLD was like that. I've got no idea when, but some time ago Brisbane reorganised all the callsigns with the plan being that the smaller centres would follow. Now the new cad system is online, that's only starting to happen. 2 years ago the sunny coast was still running their GD's as 200's etc but that's all changed now. Same with South East, Townsville, Cairns, Toowoomba etc

Speaking of cross border operations, I'm not aware of all that many occurring. For those that do, I'd imagine they'd be on their own respective channels or on one of the spec ops channels on Razorback
