Does anyone know, Is there still an aux. ambulance service in QLD?

No I mean actual auxillary stations where they are on call whilst doing their day job like an ambulance equivalent to QFRS auxillaries

As Alinco states, they are called First Responders. Usually located in towns or areas where there is significant delay in a paramedic getting to scene, usually 2 hours. Unpaid, volunteers from the community.
I worked up in the Torres Strait and there were teams on the various islands.
There is a list of FRG's floating around if you want the info.

There are also PHCC's (Primary Health Care Centres), which are the clinics in small towns staffed by Queensland Health, they are supplied with a QAS vehicle, usually a troopcarrier ambulance. They are trained by the local OIC and /or staff and respond to local cases and transport to the clinic or RFDS. Depending on their location, they also do halfway meets with QAS Paramedics to transfer the pt to larger hospitals.
