490.575 is used by a bus company, this repeater is located at Springbrook. Toowoomba can pick it up if your are near the edge. Might be it or might not be.

OK. A quick lesson on using the ACMA Database.

The key to success is to remember the main URL:-

<http://web.acma.gov.au/pls/radcom/regis ... .main_page>

which gives the following screen.

As we have the frequency, but don't really know where the signal is coming from, then what is commonly called a "PostCode Search" is our best option, and we get there by selecting the second bottom choice "Assignment/Frequency range search' from the Menu, which gives the following page.

A PostCode Range of 4000 to 4689 will cover most of Southern Queensland (up to just below Rockhampton), without having to exert too much brain power. You can specify a smaller PostCode range, if you know the actual PostCode range of the area of interest. Also, remember to select the appropriate frequency multiplier from the drop down menu.

Then it is a simple matter of going through the selections presented, and finding the right entry.

Clicking on the "AssignmentID" in the second selection above, will take you to the entry posted previously.
