Maybe NOT.

Look like Link frequencies - only 5 watts - Vertical polarization at one location, Horizontal at the other.

When I went to Firecom (23rd December 2009) they said they were looking at getting a link system set up in the tunnel because the trucks couldn't communicate within the tunnel. So there would be like a repeater on the end of the tunnel and that would transmit to another repeater who would then take it to Firecom.

This may be what it is or it may also be under the QFRS licences.

Both these licences have been around well before the tunnel construction had started i am not one hundred percent sure about it. plus from what i read the Clem 7 Tunnel is rebroadcasting fm radio couldn't they just rebroadcast others aswell

Hey Phil - if you cough up the money - they will rebroadcast the station of your choice ....

On the emergency side of things -
Radio re-broadcast system to enable tunnel operators to broadcast messages over a vehicle’s AM or FM radio band
so even if you are listening to Slim Dusty - looks like you may get your favourite song interrupted..... either that of there will be a dedicated freq for messages to be broadcast over ..... (prob the latter)

As for the Emergency Services - i am sure they will have that all set up within the coming weeks - as i am sure there will be a bit of testing/familiarisation that will occur before opening as (and we all know how good brisbane drivers are...) it wont be long until the first bingle in the tunnel (whatever the reason)

it'd be good to know the QFRS and QAS Clem 7 repeater frequencies when they are activated does anyone know how we would get them?
