Beaudesert & Jimboomba are controlled by the Gold Coast Communications Center alsoknow as secomm

Hi Mitch.
QAS SE Region is almost the same as QFRS except that from Gatton west they are part of South Western Region.
All QAS comms run from Southport, but unlike QFRS the areas are not linked together on the radio. From memory there will be voting channels for Gold Coast, Logan/Beaudesert and Ipswich but you will have to be in range of one of the repeaters to hear each area. From the list below, only Beaudesert and Jimboomba are SE Region - the rest are Brisbane.

Sorry hijacking the thread, yes you're right about the voting channels being different.
Wait does that mean that Southport control Beenleighs voting group, the western board (part of SECOMM) and the Gold Coast just on seperate voting groups???

Southport controls them all, but they are not linked together, so there will be a seperate operator for each area.
