Had a friend ask me the other day, we could he find the green protective gear that media personnel wear at a fireground?
I had a quick look for him but couldn't find much.
Any suggestions?

The media I've seen up here are in Green overalls. I guess its to easily distinguish them from rural firefighters.rochedalescan wrote:Is it green or the yellow high visibility stuff ?

Why does he want them anyways?
Is he aware that if he's needing to wear turnout gear, he'll also need to have wildfire training.
Hell, I was told that I'd need to get the wildfire training done so I can refuel DSE aircraft during the fire season.
I can tell you I won't be going anywhere where I'd need it with 20,000lt of jet fuel in my truck!!! Luckily I already have training that exceeds the "wildfire awareness" training as I believe they call it.

Re: Media Protective Gear
Who needs to 'protect' the Media?
They should supply and finance their own clothing or hats...... because:
1. They have enough money of their own :pr :pr :pr
2. Public authorities like Emergency Services which include all Fire Brigades are funded by the TAXPAYER, so any elected authority who grants payment of my tax dollar to go to a media source to stop their asses being scorched I'd like to know about it. HELLO?
Do we have the cops buying protective clothing for media at riots? I don't think so.

The media supply their own gear.
