Yeah thats fine but as said just try keep all the grusome stuff out and blur or just paint over the numberplate using ms paint or something probably best to cover faces too if you don't have permission. :)

Posting photo's of MVA's isn't really relevant to a scanner forum IMO.

Plenty of other places to look at other folks misfortune :sc

May I ask why cover up license plates and/or faces?

There is no law in Australia that requires you to do so, regardless of how gruesome they may be (but I agree with don't show gruesome pics).

I thought it was to protect the privacy of the individuals in accidents :sc:

No legal requirement to do so.

Besides, how many people here can do a records search and find out who they are from the rego?
And if you know their face, chances are you already know about the accident or are soon to be told about it.

That said, I try not to capture faces if I can. But I'll only use camera angles and timing to do so.
Ie, position myself so the door frame hides their face, or wait for them to look away then click.
But I won't edit my photo's to hide this data.

Tend to agree with "Airman" with the pics. Thought this group was about radio scanning.

So I suppose pics of radio's, radio setups, antenna's ect....
Emergency vechiles responding for sure if you are into that are the photo's we are talking about.

If pictures of road traffic accidents are posted why?? I would have to ask what relevance to this scanning group does that serve???

These are my views only and we all have different views on items that is why we are called Humans.

I would also prefer not to see photos of that type on the forum.

Hi Fireman, don't know if any states over there have it but we have a site here, (NZ) called http://www.carjam.co.nz
Type in the rego and can get any thing you want to know about the vehicle. Quite an interesting site.

Not that I'm aware of.

From that site you gave,
The Motor Vehicle Register (MVR) has always been a public register. As such Land Transport New Zealand is obliged, under section 19 of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, to provide access to the name and address of the current and previous owner(s) of a vehicle.

The legislation which provides for the release of information from the MVR is currently under review. The Government has agreed to improve the privacy of the MVR by clarifying the purposes for which information is collected, and tightening up public access to it in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993. This change may take some time, but it is being progressed.
Plus, to get the owners details you need to pay them.
