frequencies used at Melbourne airport

Post by Britedj »

Hi,

Has anyone got a full list of frequencies used at Melbourne airport including airlines, customs, etc.

I have a UBCD396XT scanner that I would like to program before our trip.

Thanks in advance

Aus Border Force (customs) Use a P25 encrypted conventional system. As do AFP. Melbourne Airport, Most airlines and ground handling agents use either tetra or dmr. The only handling agents you will get are Rex (450.450mhz) and Aerocare (507.025...... I think)
ARFF are on a P25 clear 500.750mhz.

Other ones of interest are
Ground 121.7mhz
Tower 120.5mhz
Delivery 127.2mhz.

Hope this helps.

Surface Movement Control Melb Twr 121.7
Melb Twr 120.5
Departures 118.9 and 129.4
Melb Approach 132.0
Melb Delivery 127.2
ATIS (weather) 114.1

Area frequency 135.7

Taken from ERSA ( https://www.airservicesaustralia.com/aip/aip.asp?pg=10 ) scroll to the bottom and click agree. then go to the next page and you will get every airport in the country.

PDF of Tullamarine is available here; https://www.dropbox.com/s/6252ox6svbvmt ... 5.pdf?dl=0

This is the page used by every pilot that uses Melbourne Tullamarine. All frequencies are AM aviation band and not encrypted. Suggest you use Flightradar 24 while listening to get an idea of whats going on.
