For the last two days I have been receiving all the Fire and Rescue outside of Sydney on TGID 10132 it seems. This is labeled as the Bogan Region which is Nygan etc but I am hearing Wollongong and almost everywhere else in NSW on this. All the inner Sydney TGID's are working fine for Fire and Rescue and all the other TGID's for all my other GRN systems are working fine.
Has anyone else in Sydney noticed this?
I am using a 396XT.
Thanks

Re: NSW Fire and Rescue on GRN issue?
It's common for a number of FRNSW talkgroups to be linked together and operated from one console. Scanning from Sydney, it's common to hear the surrounding and regional TG's linked to the Sydney TG's. Reasons are varied, but one would be to cut back on the number of radio operators needed.
That is why you are hearing areas you may not normally hear on the Bogans TG.

Talkgroup 10132 (Bogan 1) is patched in tonight on the one channel with 10120 (Wollongong 1), 10130 (Blue Mts 1) and 10123 (Goulburn 1).
Firecom dispatchers are now confined to Sydney and Newcastle comms centres.
