TRU DIGITAL

Post by mqfire »

Hi All,

Apparently the 490.2Mhz QML TRU channel has gone digital. I've had a quick stab at listening with an APCO P-25 BC785D but all i hear is something that sounds like the audio from the transformers movie

can anyone shed some light? Much obliged:)

I will pay money to the person that can show me how to listen to them again. I had them on all day for traffic reports

To be honest I have only come across 1 encrypted DMR User as for the Tow Trucks it was inevitable that they encrypted plus you never really got any useful info, time will tell though

the 396T and Pro96 are not capable of decoding Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) as this unit deploys it i would suggest buying a DMR radio or finding another way

It is not just a simple case of programming up the radio with a few frequencies and listening to the activity. You have to know the colour code, the time slot, the talkgroup and in some cases the radio id. If they are using encryption, either basic, enhanced or AES then forgot it. With DMR there is no wildcard feature, you need to know the parameters listed above.

Enhanced Privacy has been enabled, they have also linked both repeaters together to create a larger network for both groups,

Channel 5 - Time Slot 1
Channel 6 - Time Slot 2
