Good idea - have recently done this to 2-3 year old inactive accounts on our forum as well.

All inactive accounts from the beginning of the 2007 to January 2019 have now been deleted.

As we are now at 5555 members i will continue to look at our members list to work out what will be our next culling point

I can understand removing users who haven't ever logged in or posted.

Is there a particular reason for further culling after that point?

If you do end up doing it - hopefully it keeps their posts.

May be some historic ones of value.

There are still a lot of inactive accounts for one reason or another.

Of the 5555 members, only 1550 odd have posted .... unless it was recent say 6 months, there is another potential 4000 gone
For instance I was looking at one individual ... joined May 23, 2010 11.15pm - Last Active May 23, 2010 11.30pm - 0 posts ... time to say "bye bye"

Another one of the problems the Aussie Scanners has had in the past is that it is frequently targeted by the bots with stupid ads or malicious software. The ones that activate get booted fairly quickly by the admin team. The ones that don't invariably are on 0 posts. Get rid of the inactive no posts group gets rid of the problem to a large extent

Needs to be done regularly too eg this interesting statistic on Monday this last week
"Most users ever online was 3492 on Mon Nov 25, 2019 11:27 pm"

It is now time to prune the tree and encourage folk to contribute once again, and listen to what is out there

Sounds good, but what of people returning to the hobby. Many do. I'm one of them but fortunately got back in!

NB: I joined much earlier than 2020. That's when I rejoined.
