Gold Coast/Coomera Districts

Post by Daniel »

Anyone want to list the new callsigns for Gold Coast & Coomera. I assume they have changed a little bit from the old ones.

Haha sorry guys I misworded that. I meant to ask does anyone have the callsigns for the new Gold Coast/Coomera Districts? I know they have changed a lot from the old ones.

I know theres a member on here who might be able to help out he posted in the Incident Alert area a few weeks ago but only posted a couple of callsigns.

I think that member may be me  . (Please note that this is not an official or verified list, and as such has been compiled from various sources, mainly by recreational listening and interest.)

The new Coomera district is basically everything on or west of the M1 motorway from the "old" GC district (Nerang, Mudgy, Coomera), plus the addition of some stations from Logan District (Nth Tamborine, Canungra, Beaudesert and Rathdowney). The Coomera District has a newly formed Traffic Branch, with the original GC District Traffic Branch now living at Robina. Some other units such as CIB etc are now also operating from Coomera HQ.

Firstly, the "old" Gold Coast district callsigns have not changed much, the main change is the addition of the prefix "Golf" to the callsign. This is to avoid confusion between units in different divisions on the radio as (at this stage) both districts are on the same channels. (Eg G250 at Runaway Bay, and C250 at Beaudesert).

Golf (GC District) Units

100-125 Inspectors and senior officers

Thanks a lot mate! Thats a really good list.

In the next few months Coomera should get their own Dog Squad and SOCO's as well but that wont be for a while they probably still share with Gold Coast like Caboolture used to do with Redcliffe pre-2009

469.275 (Ch 116) will get you the Coomera District (Analogue). The western area of this district (ex Logan - Canungra etc) is covered by 468.775 (Ch 76).
