USB to Serial Convertor

Post by rochedalescan »

Hi all,

This issue has come up alot wether or not you can use a USB to serial convertor when programing radio's, I came across this listing on ebay and the seller claims "This cable has been proven to work when programming radios." it even comes with drivers etc ?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/USB4RADIOS-/2806 ... 4155326bba

Might work ? Generally they don't though am I right, so chances are it's a bit of hit and miss.

Regards Shane

for what you pay for them of EBay it is worth the try. I have a few and they all work for me.

hi all, i can say there quite a good converter. I own one (brought it in Bega NSW) and it has programmed all the radio's i have that require a serial port and has even worked on a few forklifts i work on too. nothing worries it. i brought another converter when i was in bega and forgot my good one and had all sorts of drama with it.
worth the money i feel
cheers
Matt
